Dr. Jeff Duke - Course 101 & 201
Dr. Jeff Duke is the foremost expert regarding the cultural influence on the coaching profession in our society. He has developed and authored the “3Dimensional Pyramid of Coaching Success” concept that has revolutionized the sport coaching landscape. Duke has coached five different sports and directly supervised 200 plus coaches in 17 different sports. His coaching experience encompasses the youth level through the professional ranks, coupled with a multi-year stint as an assistant football coach at Florida State University under legendary coach, Bobby Bowden. Jeff Duke is on staff as a lecturer at the University of Central Florida and is a National Coaches Trainer for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Dr. Duke is highly sought after to lead workshops, seminars, and training on the “cultural influence of the sport coach” throughout Europe and the Americas. He spent eight years as an international expert on coaching education development pre/post the Atlanta Olympic Games. His doctoral research (Florida State University) created baseline data on how to analyze proficient elite level coaching methods. Today, you will find Dr. Duke traveling weekly across the United States, leading and facilitating workshops with the adolescent sport coaching culture on becoming 3Dimensional Coaches. His new book, 3D Coach, recounts Duke’s journey through the three dimensions of coaching and brings personal stories from all levels of coaches who have implemented the 3D concept into their own programs.
Mark Hull - Course 301
Mark Hull has spent the last 24 years working with coaches, seeing first-hand the pressurized world of sports and the highs and lows of coaching. A former teacher and coach and a parent of three children who’ve come through the club, high school and college programs, he’s seen the potential and pitfalls in all of it.
For the last six years he served as the “character coach” for the UW-Eau Claire football team, expanding that role to work with the UWEC softball, soccer, basketball & gymnastics teams. Mark has also been a presenter for USA Wrestling’s Coaches School at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs and Lake Placid; at the National Wrestling Coaches Association Convention, along with numerous high school coaching staffs across the country.
Vocationally Mark serves as the WI State Director and Regional Coaches Ministry Trainer for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Wes Simmons - Next Steps
Wes Simmons is a certified 3Dimensional Coaching trainer/presenter for the Midwest region. After a successful high school athletic career, Wes went on to play college football at Northwest Missouri State University where he started on back-to-back NCAA DII National Championship teams.
Upon graduation, he began his coaching career at Northwest as a defensive assistant for 3 years while completing his Master's degree in Athletic Administration. Since that time, his career has shifted from coaching athletes on the field to coaching both athletes and coaches in other areas of life. In addition to presenting 3Dimensional Coaching professional development workshops/clinics, he also teaches a 3D Coaching course as an adjunct instructor at NWMSU. Wes also regularly conducts "Guiding the College-Bound Athlete" seminars for parents, athletes, coaches and counselors throughout the Midwest region.
Vocationally Wes serves as the NW Missouri FCA area director in St. Joseph, MO, where he lives with his wife Amy and their 3 children.
